Day 22 - I have a headache, I don't wanna do it Today

Intro - Why I started a 30 Day Challenge

I started my 30 Day Challenge to work out every day (including weekends) on August 3, 2011.  I got this idea from a book by Dan Furman, Start and Run a Real Home Based Business, which I read 2-3 weeks ago.  In his book he challenged the reader to take a walk every day for 30 days -- if you can't do that, you shouldn't start a home based business he says.

"Hmmm...interesting concept", I thought to myself.  I mean, you're telling me if I can walk for 30 days I might have a chance at owning and operating a home based business?  Sounds simple enough.

I couldn't see myself taking just a walk every day so I modified the challenge to exercise every day.  For the past 22 days I've been doing parts of the GSP Rushfit workout and others I've designed myself.  I can do this!

Day 22

I didn't get the idea to start documenting this experience till a few days ago.  Anyway, I never thought I'd hit the "I don't want to do this" the "Maybe I'll just skip today" hurdle.

I woke up with a head ache.  Wah Wah Wah.  Yeah that's right.  I was a cry baby today.  "I'm just not feeling well today" I told myself.  And I really wasn't.  Do you know what it's like to wake up to a brand new day and get welcomed with a cranking head ache?  "I'll continue my challenge tomorrow." I thought to myself "Maybe just not today."  So...I went a bought a coke (which usually causes my headaches to subside) but the head ache still lingered.

The moment right before I started my 30min. work out I felt terrible.  I really didn't feel that motivated to do it.  But...I remembered my promise to myself.  I forced myself to do it.

When I finished, I realized that it wasn't all that bad.   As I'm typing this now, my head ache has cleared up!  I feel fine.

Anyway, I had wanted to quit/delay/procrastinate a couple of times this past week -- and it's ONLY Week 3.  I have 1 more week to go and then I'll re-evaluate my progress what I learned.

Thanks for listening.
